Management Development Associate Program

Trustmark’s Management Development Associate (MDA) Program is a challenging and rewarding twelve-month training program located in Jackson, Mississippi; Houston, Texas; Memphis, Tennessee; and the Florida Panhandle. This program is designed to prepare the MDAs for careers in the financial services industry by providing a basic knowledge and understanding of the various departments, services and products of Trustmark as they relate both internally and externally. MDAs participate in most aspects of a full-service branch, including sales of a variety of bank products, and will meet with customers to take loan applications, open new accounts, sell insurance-based products, implement promotional activities and meet goals for both sales and referrals to customers. Additionally, there is concentration on accounting, analytical, communication and management skills needed to analyze potential and existing loan customers. This involves using computer models to spread and interpret financial statements, develop forecasts, conduct research, compile reports and make recommendations concerning loan review and approval.

Training

Training includes teller and financial services representative responsibilities, branch management operations, consumer lending, commercial credit analysis, leadership development, team building activities, and business etiquette and ethics.

Past Placements

Recent associates who have completed the MDA program have been placed in the areas of commercial lending, commercial real estate, corporate services, credit analysis, human resources, mortgage, operations, public services, retail branches and wealth management.
