Trustmark offers a medical benefits plan to assist in offsetting the cost of doctor visits, hospital expenses, prescription drugs and a variety of other services for the associate and covered dependents. By utilizing network providers, associates can help manage their healthcare costs. Associates working 30 hours or more per week will be eligible for benefits the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Temporary associates are not eligible for this benefit.
Trustmark offers a dental plan with two options that allows the associates to decide how much coverage is needed. Both options cover: diagnostic and preventive services without having to meet a deductible or waiting period; basic and major dental procedures, after a $50 annual deductible for up to a calendar year maximum; and orthodontic services for dependent children. The eligibility for this plan is the same as the medical plan.
Trustmark offers vision care coverage for eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses. Network benefits include eye exams once every 12 months, lenses once every 12 months, frames once every 24 months or contacts once every 12 months (in lieu of lenses and frames). The eligibility for this plan is the same as the medical plan.
Long-Term Disability Plan
Trustmark provides a long-term disability benefit of 40% of each associate’s eligible annual compensation. Associates may purchase an additional 20% of coverage by paying the full cost of the Buy-up Benefit, or associates may elect to pay for the full 60% coverage. Coverage is based on the associate’s annual base salary plus the previous year’s total commissions and incentive pay as determined by the plan, not to exceed a maximum benefit of $8,000 monthly. Benefits are payable beginning the 91st day of disability. The eligibility for this plan is the same as the medical plan.
Trustmark provides basic life insurance coverage equal to two times the associate’s eligible compensation (annual base salary plus previous years’ total commissions and incentive pay as determined by the plan) rounded to the next highest $1,000, with a maximum coverage of $300,000. This benefit includes Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) benefits at no additional expense. Additional coverage for the associate and his/her dependents (spouse and children) may also be purchased. The eligibility for this plan is the same as the medical plan.
Flexible Spending Plans
Flexible Spending Accounts allow associates to direct a portion of their pay, on a pre-tax basis, into a special account that can be used during the year to reimburse the associate for certain out-of-pocket health and/or dependent care expenses.
Employee Assistance Program
Our employee assistance program, a confidential counseling and referral service, is designed to help the associate and dependents successfully deal with life’s challenges. Assessments, short-term counseling and referral services for a wide range of personal challenges, as well as a variety of work/life issues, are available. Easy access to our employee assistance program is available through a toll-free phone number 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The 401(k) plan is available to all associates who work, or are scheduled to work, at least 1,000 hours per year. Associates may contribute, on a pre-tax basis, anywhere from 1% to 75% of eligible pay into the plan each pay period. Participants are 100% vested in the pre-tax contributions they make to the plan and related investment earnings. After only one year of service, the plan will match 100% of the first 6% of each associate’s plan compensation contribution. The match is made each pay period and the participants are 100% vested.
Stock Purchase Plan
The Employee Stock Purchase Plan is available to all full-time associates, who may enter the plan the first of the quarter following 30 days of employment. Trustmark stock may be purchased through payroll deduction in even dollar amounts with a minimum of $10.00 per pay period. Participants will be credited with a pro-rata share of the stock purchased at the end of each calendar quarter.
Tuition Reimbursement Program
Trustmark provides monetary assistance to eligible associates for coursework taken from an accredited college/university that meets the degree requirements for a business related undergraduate or graduate degree or other degree related to the associate’s current job responsibilities. Trustmark will reimburse tuition expenses up to a maximum of $2,500 per calendar year. Trustmark also offers other opportunities for professional development based on job responsibilities.
Other Benefit Options
Trustmark offers other benefit options including vacation, sick pay, paid holidays, voluntary personal AD&D insurance, travel accident insurance (free of charge), supplemental insurance (AFLAC), personal insurance, mutual fund investments and health club discounts. Associates also receive preferred interest rates on installment loans, credit cards, single payment commercial loans, and lines of credit. Associates are eligible for two checking accounts with no service charges, free personalized checks, money orders, and traveler’s checks.
