Overview

The purpose of this job is to support Property and Casualty (P&C) Producer and Senior Client Executive, if applicable, by servicing assigned clients, to be knowledgeable in P&C coverages, carrier guidelines and to maintain relationships with clients and underwriters.ย 

Responsibilities:

Renewals:Work with P&C producer, and/or Senior Client Executive and any applicable associates, to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients. Prepare renewal analysis and recommendation of coverage needs to present to client. Learn negotiation skills on renewal coverage quotes with carriers. Required to maintain license and knowledge of new insurance products.Servicing:Assist assigned clients with service needs and coverage questions. Service needs include, but are not limited to - certificate issuance, endorsement requests to carriers, final audit reviews, cancellation processing and premium invoicing.Relationships:Build and maintain client and carrier relationships with effective communication and contact.Workflow:Provide proficient use of the agency management system to maintain updated and accurate client information as well as effectively manage documentation, activities, and policy expirations.Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School education
  • Applicable and appropriate level of insurance licensing as required by state for P&C and/or Life & Health, (Florida will require 2-20 license)
  • Minimum of 1-year experience with Commercial Lines in an agency environment or 1-year Commercial Lines experience with a commercial insurance company, or completion of Insurance Development Associate Program, equivalent as determined by hiring manager
  • Knowledge of all commercial lines of insurance, basic company underwriting guidelines and the agencyโ€™s policies and procedures.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to make informed decisions
  • Proficient in time management principles to prioritize workload. The associate must be capable of handling at least a minimum level as determined by management of assigned accounts, account complexity and/or assets under administration

Preferred:

  • Industry designations and accreditations for further education preferred
  • College degree or higher preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
