Overview

The purpose of this job is to aid clients with service needs and provide assistance to producers in handling and processing new and renewal commercial business.

Responsibilities:
  • Market new and renewal business including proposals and update premium and loss information
  • Answer clients and insurance companiesโ€™ questions and needs by phone, mail, fax, or email
  • Issue binders and certificates of insurance
  • Keep updated suspense, expiration lists, and maintain electronic and paper files
  • Request and process policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations including invoicing
  • Attend continuing education classes and seminars to improve insurance knowledge and management skills
  • Assist Supervisor/Manager including training of new employees
  • Account rounding and cross selling
Qualifications
  • Understand and be able to explain all lines of insurance
  • Knowledge of insurance company guidelines and agencyโ€™s binding authority

  • Self-starter, creative with good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make informed decisions
  • Time management skills

  • High school diploma
  • College degree desired
  • Must hold agentโ€™s property and casualty license
  • 5 years of insurance experience with Commercial Lines in an agency environment or insurance company or 3 years in CSR, CL II position or equivalent
  • CIC or CISR designation desired
