Overview

The purpose of this job is to provide full service banking with a superior level of hands-on contact to the high income, high net worth clients.ย  This is accomplished through the extension of credit but also includes sales of all bank related retail products and cross sales of insurance, trust, and investment products.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates entire credit approval process, including loan approval within lending authority
  • Services a loan portfolio, including credit and collateral exceptions and past dues
  • Sell deposit related products and other retail products
  • Cross sell mortgage, trust, insurance, and investment products
  • Call on potential or existing customers to develop new business and promote company services and products
  • Community service
  • Provide financial and banking advice and counseling

Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable of Private Banking and the bank financial products and services
  • Knowledge of document preparation and new accounts systems
  • Knowledge of negotiable instruments
  • Complete understanding of the requirements of properly securing a loan
  • Familiar with state and federal regulations and bank policies relating to credit
  • Knowledge of sales principles
  • Customer contact and sales and service skills
  • Superior judgment in making loan decisions
  • Experience dealing with sophisticated clientele
  • Experience in recognizing and handling troubled loans and problem customers
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of loan and deposit debits and credits
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Advanced interpersonal skills
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships
  • Customer contact and sales and service skills
  • Four-year college education
  • 5 years banking experience or related work experience to include previous lending experience
  • Bank branch work preferred
  • Previous investment experience with 6/63 licensure preferred
