Overview

The Closing Coordinator is responsible for assigning work for the closing department after a review of required documentation. Additionally, this position processes and delivers construction lending closing packages to the bank. Additional responsibilities may include initiating wires based on funding worksheets provided by closers, verifying wire instructions with closing agents as needed, printing funding tickets, imaging to individual files and depositing funds wired out at the end of each business day. Position also prepares ticket folders to be delivered to post closing daily. Additionally, this position will operate as a back -up to the wholesale funder position. Performance requires a high degree of accuracy, problem solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Closing Coordinator receive moderate supervision in the performance of duties and responsibilities. Work is generally evaluated on obtaining objectives with accuracy, timeliness, and results.

Responsibilities:
  • Assign incoming work requests for closing platform.
  • Process Construction Loan Packages and delivery of documents/tickets to bank.
  • Initiate wires/prepares tickets and deposit funds daily.
  • Prepares ticket folders, images documents daily.
  • Help with post-closing check requests/document returns as needed
  • Back-up to wholesale funding position
Qualifications
  • High School Education
  • Technical or vocational school education
  • One year of experience in a mortgage environment
  • Basic understanding of VA, FHA and conventional TRID loan guidelines
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan documentation
  • Knowledge of mortgage programs and products
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Communication and listening skills
  • Excellent time managements skills
  • 10 key calculator
