Overview

The purpose of this job is to receive, review, and prepare responses to subpoenas, garnishments, and other legally served documents. Assist in the training and supervision of support staff in this area.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the training and oversight of junior support staff working in this area.
  • Receive, review and request documents for subpoena
  • Monitor the review of gathering information for garnishments
  • Assist in answering telephone in Dept.
  • Respond to garnishments, and subpoenas including but not limited to contacting courts, attorneys, and customers in regard to issues concerning the receipt and response to garnishments and subpoenas received by Trustmark.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications
  • High school education
  • Thorough knowledge of the banking industry
  • Thorough knowledge of legal requirements for subpoenas, garnishments, etcetera
  • Ability to meet court imposed deadlines
  • Typing and basic computer skills
  • Ability to use office/clerical equipment
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Ability to discuss legal documents/issues with attorneys, customers, and courts
  • Previous Clerical experience preferred
