Overview

The responsibilities of this role include supporting the processes that ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness for internal/external audits, required internal departmental reporting and required regulatory reporting regarding advertising/marketing, internal/external communications and community engagement.  By gathering and interpreting company and departmental data and assimilating the information into cohesive presentations, this role will help tell the Trustmark story across internal and external audiences.  Additionally, this role will be required to assist with the operational processes of the department, including workflow and approval processes, financial reporting, vendor management and distribution processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain schedule for various internal reporting and distribute.
  • Lead efforts to fulfill internal/external audits, required internal departmental reporting (e.g., Risk & Control Self-Assessment) and required regulatory reporting requests.
  • Develop plans for the department’s project management and community engagement platform additions, changes and/or enhancements.
  • Coordinate with other lines of business, consolidate and interpret company and departmental data and prepare comprehensive responses, documentation and/or presentations for internal/external audits, required internal departmental reporting (e.g., Risk & Control Self-Assessment) and required regulatory reporting requests.
  • Work with vendors to maintain up to date availability and item listings on marketing fulfillment platform.
  • Produce departmental financial reports and assist in monitoring expenses.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness within project management and communityengagement modules through:
    • Daily data maintenance tasks related to contributions/sponsorships, volunteer hours, communications & marketing project requests, etc.
    • Report generation and review to detect and fix errors.
    • Analysis of platform settings and workflows to identify opportunities for enhancements.
  • Gather and interpret company and departmental data and prepare comprehensive responses, documentation and/or presentations for internal/external audits, required internal departmental reporting (e.g., Risk & Control Self-Assessment) and required regulatory reporting requests.
  • Stay current on various platform and database capabilities and enhancements that affect review and verification processes.
  • Coordinate distribution of communications and marketing materials/collateral.
  • Work with departmental contract owners to maintain centralized, up to date contract records and fulfillment requirements.
  • Manage special projects assigned by the Communications & Marketing Operations Manager and/or the Director of Corporate Communications & Marketing.
  • Prepare and deliver executive level presentations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree with 2 years’ related work experience, preferably in communications/marketing, data analytics/reporting or compliance in a midsize or large bank environment

2-year college degree with 3 years related work experience, preferably in communications/marketing, data analytics/reporting or compliance in a midsize or large bank environment

 

-OR-

High School graduate with 5 years related work experience, preferably in communications/marketing, data analytics/reporting or compliance in a midsize or large bank environment

  • Advanced knowledge of banking industry and federal and state banking laws and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train others
  • Advanced level experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to prepare executive level presentations
  • Must be detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to always exercise confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as a team for collaboration when needed
  • Prior experience related to project management systems preferred
  • Prior experience related to community engagement systems preferred
  • Prior experience working with large datasets preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting structures and processes preferred
  • Experience with dashboard software, including Power BI preferred

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
