Overview

The purpose of this job is to develop new treasury management business and expand existing business relationships through treasury products and services as well as increase deposit growth. Sales Rep is to act as a liaison to Community Banks for commercial deposits and public funds entities, including depository bids and Treasury management sales and support. Additionally, acting as a liaison and supporting the sales for any third-party referral products and services offered.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the treasury management sales representative for assigned markets
  • Make in-person business development calls on current and new Commercial Businesses to identify needs and propose solutions to meet/exceed the stated sales and portfolio goals
  • Conduct treasury service reviews for top clients
  • Meet with market relationship managers and leadership regularly to identify opportunities and provide updates to product information
  • Create sales proposals
  • Understand the client’s business in order to provide appropriate solutions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, related field
  • 7 Years Treasury Sales-OR-Minimum of ten (10) years proven and progressive experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Commercial lending
    • Credit experience
    • Branch experience
    • Related financial services experience
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Trustmark’s Commercial business customer depository policies, procedures, and products, including treasury management available to business customers, public entities, and non-profit organizations,
  • Understanding of credit approval process as well as related bank policies and external regulations
  • Practical working knowledge of sales principles
  • Knowledge of credit analysis practices and procedures as it relates to ACH and RDE
  • Familiarity with products and services offered by financial services institutions
  • Knowledge of bank operations policies and procedures for supporting Loan, Deposit and Treasury Services
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective judgement and decision-making skills
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to engage multi-departmental cooperation to accomplish goals
  • Customer contact, sales and service skills
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to configure and implement products to enable customers to use the bank’s Corporate Treasury Services.
  • Scheduling customer calls for training so that the bank has adequate personnel to answer incoming calls from customers
  • Ability to test file formats and validate information within the files that will be used between customers and bank
  • Ability to determine the best method to deliver services to customers
  • Ability to accurately complete required enrollment and agreement related documents to support customer implementations
  • Previous banking or deposit related knowledge preferred
  • Certified Treasury Professional Accreditation preferred
  • Prior relationship management experience preferred

Level III additional qualifications:

  • Certified Treasury Professional Accreditation
  • Previous Relationship Management Experience
  • 10 Years Treasury Sales-OR-Minimum of fifteen (15) years proven and progressive experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Commercial lending
    • Credit experience
    • Branch experience
    • Related financial services experience
