Overview

The purpose of this job is to personally generate mortgage volume while overseeing and managing the origination staff, including loan originators, loan processors, and other support staff as necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Problem resolution for loans in process.
  • Negotiate pricing within limits set by department management.
  • Judge documentation adequacy, address improvement needs.
  • Train originators on policies, procedures, business development and realtor relations.
  • Gathering application data/providing info to prospects.
  • Assisting or supervising the processing of the loan files.
  • Dealing with staffing/HR/operations /compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of FHA/VA & conventional mortgage guidelines
  • Must know all consumer disclosure requirements and compliance regulations regarding home loans
  • Selling skills/Management skills
  • Communication skills
  • Time management principles to prioritize workload
  • Junior college/Two-year college training with at least 5 years mortgage production experience  

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
