Online and Mobile Banking Safety: Account Alerts

You receive notifications and alerts on your devices daily - text messages, news stories, weather alerts, advertisements, email notifications - and more. Shouldn’t you also receive alerts about activity related to your bank account? After all, you’ve worked hard for your money. With just a few, simple steps, you can add an additional layer of security to help keep it safe and secure.

No one likes surprises when it comes to their bank account. While all banks implement security and safety measures to protect their customer’s accounts, each of us are responsible for monitoring our accounts and promptly notifying our financial institution if anything looks out of line.

Enabling account alerts and notifications through myTrustmark® online and mobile banking is a convenient, easy way for you to monitor your accounts and confidently manage your money any time, any where. Alerts can provide the information you need to make accurate, timely and safe financial decisions.

You have control to determine the type and frequency of alerts that you want to receive:

  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity on your account
  • Low balance notifications
  • Posting of transfers, payments or debits to your account

Additional functionality within the myTrustmark app allows you to enable or disable push notifications for security, account and transaction alerts. These alerts are sent automatically through secure messages, and you can choose to receive them by email, phone or text message. You can enable or disable alerts at any time.

You should review your transactions daily within myTrustmark or monthly on your account statements and notify us as soon as possible if you detect anything unusual. You can securely message a Trustmark customer service representative through myTrustmark or call our Customer Contact Center at 800.243.2524 for assistance.

When conducting financial transactions, be certain to only use a valid, trusted website, such as trustmark.com or an online banking service like myTrustmark, which allows you to safely and securely access your account information.
