Overview

The responsibilities of the Card Services Specialist I include providing assistance for all Trustmark card products to both internal and external customers and providing support functions for the maintenance and security of these cards.  The primary goal of this job is to provide superior customer satisfaction as well as to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general inquiry assistance for Trustmark Card products for internal and external clients such as balance information, transaction detail, payment information, due date, card issuance information and research requests.
  • Handle monetary card maintenance including Speedpay payments, research and correction of payment errors, and finance charge and fee referrals.
  • Handle non-monetary maintenance such as address changes, closing accounts, name changes, blocking and reorder of card(s), processing returned cards, adding signers, and reporting of fraudulent transactions to national networks.
  • Provide departmental support which will include one or more of the following: uploading statements, monitoring the report for instant issue, monitoring the report for eZCard.
  • May be called on an as needed basis to provide support to the Card Services Security Department by working MasterCard and Visa Alert notifications of compromised cards including customer notifications, account maintenance, and establishing new cards in card base.
  • Provide departmental support for image station to ensure customer files are maintained accurately.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school education
  • One year customer service experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to be flexible and multitask
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Sound decision making
  • Customer Service Simulation (testing required)
  • Previous experience with credit card or debit card products preferred
  • General knowledge of FIS System preferred
  • General knowledge of Cardbase System preferred
  • General knowledge of Fair Credit Billing Act and Regulation E preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
