Overview

The purpose of this job is to effectively manage the Payment Processing and New Loan of Mtg Servicing Loan Administration/Real Estate.

Responsibilities:
  • Cross-train, lead and develop team of associates to prom,ote maximum productivity, engagement, succession planning and overall contribution to strategic organizational goals.
  • Manage the Payment Processing, New Loan, Payoff-Release & Assumption Departments which includes the management of all personnel and HR related aspects of the job as well as management of various analytical reports, etc.
  • Provide customer service to both internal and external customers as it relates to Payments, New Loans, Assumptions & Payoffs/Releases etc.
  • Responsible for implementing policies and writing procedures as new regulations often require changes to the current policies and procedures (ex. CFPB changes).
  • Responsible for keeping up with Regulatory Requirements to ensure that Trustmark is following all regulations that relate to Payment Processing, New Loans, Payoffs and Assumptions
  • Support our customers and maintain the integrity of our payment processing, new loan, assumptions and payoff areas.
  • Further develop and refine our payment processing, new loan and payoff operations through creation and implementation of processes, standards, and best practices that work efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate, cross-departmentally to build-out critical tools, automate routine work where possible, and address longer-term or recurring issues.
  • Be the internal subject matter expert for payment processing, new loan onboarding, payoffs and assumptions.
  • Complete daily reconciliation for client payment processing and new loan activities.
  • As needed, provide support to Payment Processing Specialist and New Loan onboard our customers with our payment processors.
  • Maintain relationships with our payment processing & new loan vendors and obligations as a merchant services provider, including supporting annual audit requirements.
  • Serve as the escalation point to our payment processing and new loan areas.
  • Ensure funds from payments processed are deposited into client bank accounts.
  • Partner with Implementation team to ensure successful production payment tests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2-Year associate degree or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Mortgage Servicing industry
  • 2-3 Years of Management experience
  • Good Communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel & Word
  • Unwavering commitment to providing a positive customer experience

  • Ability to manage people effectively
  • Good organization skills
  • Interpersonal skills, as related to leading a team of employees to complete assigned tasks
  • Analytical skills
  • Exceptional collaborative and troubleshooting/deductive skills, including the ability to engage in operational incidents with emerging data to assess impact and drive collaborative resolution in a swift manner
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
